Responsibilities:
- Review and abstract Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lease agreements, amendments, renewals, addendums, and related legal documents.
- Extract and validate critical lease information, including lease dates, rent schedules, escalation clauses, CAM charges, operating expenses, renewal and termination options, critical notice dates, and compliance obligations.
- Ensure lease abstractions are completed with high accuracy, quality, and adherence to defined turnaround timelines and client standards.
- Update and maintain lease management systems, databases, trackers, and abstraction repositories with accurate lease information.
- Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or potential risks within lease documents and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Manage multiple lease abstraction assignments and support lease administration, audit, reporting, and portfolio migration activities as required.
- Perform quality checks and support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and abstraction quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams, property managers, legal teams, and clients for lease-related clarifications and operational support.
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of lease, tenant, and financial information.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have 2 - 7 years of experience in Lease Abstraction / Lease Administration within the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate lease structures, terminology, and legal clauses across office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
- Experience in abstracting complex lease documents with strong analytical and document interpretation skills.
- Familiarity with lease administration processes including rent schedules, CAM reconciliation, escalations, renewals, and critical date tracking.
- Experience working with lease management systems, abstraction platforms, and document management tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools.
- Exposure to OCR-based lease processing or AI-assisted lease abstraction tools will be an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting productivity, quality, and SLA expectations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Law, or related field preferred.
- Candidates with prior experience working with Commercial Real Estate (CRE) companies, property management firms, or lease administration service providers are preferred.
- Experience: 2 - 10 years.
