Advanced System Administration:
- Oversee the overall architecture and strategy for ESXi Hypervisor, Windows and Linux server environments.
- Design and implement complex solutions involving Windows and Linux servers and related technologies.
- Lead large-scale migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of the Wintel and Linux infrastructure.
Network Management:
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure to support Wintel and Linux environments.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Ensure proper integration between servers and network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Use scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate system and network administration tasks.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
- Continuously improve automation processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Cloud Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage Windows and Linux workloads in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement cloud-native services and ensure seamless integration with on-premises infrastructure.
- Optimize cloud resource usage and costs.
Storage Management:
- Manage and optimize storage solutions including SAN, NAS, and DAS.
- Configure and maintain storage systems to ensure data availability and performance.
- Implement data backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity and perform necessary upgrades.
Technical Leadership:
- Serve as a technical expert and mentor for L1, L2 support teams.
- Develop and enforce best practices for system administration, network management, automation, cloud operations, and storage management.
- Provide technical guidance for critical projects and initiatives.
Project Management:
- Manage IT projects related to Wintel, Linux infrastructure, network, automation, cloud, and storage from initiation to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Coordinate resources, tasks, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Strategic Planning and Innovation:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Wintel, Linux, network, cloud, and storage environments.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve operations.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the IT infrastructure.
- Plan and execute technology upgrades and modernization efforts.
Security and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce security policies and standards for Wintel, Linux, network, cloud, and storage environments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Conduct regular security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and audits.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches.
- Must aware of Nessus vulnerability tool and IDPS systems.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Wintel, Linux, network, cloud, and storage infrastructure.
- Ensure systems are resilient and capable of rapid recovery in case of failure.
- Test and update disaster recovery plans regularly.
- Implement backup solutions and ensure data integrity and availability.
Vendor Management and Collaboration:
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate and select third-party solutions and services.
- Coordinate with external partners for support and services.
- Ensure vendor deliverables meet organizational standards and requirements.
Communication Skills:
- Effective Communication: Clearly articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, networks, and projects.
- Training and Mentoring: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for IT staff. Mentor junior team members.
