About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – DevOps to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps roadmap. This role requires deep expertise in AWS and GCP, a proven track record of managing large-scale, production-grade systems, and strong leadership in driving automation and reliability. You will play a crucial role in our AWS-to-GCP migration efforts, infrastructure scalability, and CI/CD evolution.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering
Work on cloud infrastructure strategy across AWS and GCP environments.
Own and drive AWS → GCP migration projects end-to-end.
Ensure system resilience with disaster recovery planning, high availability design, and architectural improvements.
Oversee infrastructure monitoring and alerting using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or New Relic.
Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and drive permanent fixes.
Ensure compliance with security and performance Service Level Agreements (SLAs) through continuous infrastructure audits and enhancements.
Manage and support core AWS services (VPC, EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Route53, ELB/NLB, IAM, etc.) and equivalent GCP services.
DevOps & Automation
Lead the design and maintenance of secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
Ensure zero-downtime deployments and faster release cycles through automation and pipeline optimization.
Guide and mentor developers on DevOps best practices and deployment strategies.
Manage sandbox and production environments, ensuring smooth deployments and rollback strategies.
Champion DevSecOps practices through tools like Snyk, JFrog, etc.
Collaboration & Leadership
Act as the DevOps SME and collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to define infrastructure needs.
Mentor junior DevOps engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.
Support release planning and post-release monitoring with appropriate tooling and automation.
Lead documentation efforts for infrastructure, processes, and disaster recovery plans.
Required Qualifications
6 to 8 years of DevOps or infrastructure experience in high-scale production environments.
Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, with expertise in cloud migrations (especially AWS to GCP).
Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE).
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Groovy).
Deep understanding of networking, VPCs, DNS, and load balancers.
Solid background in monitoring, logging, and observability.
Experience operating secure, compliant, and highly available systems.
Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor others.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in AWS and/or GCP (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Snyk, JFrog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Prior experience in a SaaS or product-based organization.
Exposure to FinOps or cloud cost optimization techniques.
