Senior IoT Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior IoT Engineer to design, develop, and maintain IoT-based smart metering solutions. This role requires deep expertise in embedded systems, communication protocols, and remote data acquisition, particularly within the energy and utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Design & Development of IoT Systems

• Develop and maintain Automated Meter Reading (AMR) systems for accurate energy data collection.
• Architect and implement Meter Data Management (MDM) and Meter Data Processing (MDP) solutions for efficient data storage, validation, and analysis.

🔹 Hardware & Firmware Engineering

• Design electronic circuits and PCB layouts for telemetry and smart metering devices such as DCUs and IMDAS.
• Develop embedded firmware using Embedded C and Python to control sensors, actuators, and communication modules.

🔹 Communication Protocol Integration

• Implement and troubleshoot communication protocols including RS485, RS232, IR, GSM, RF (866 MHz), and Bluetooth.
• Integrate higher-level protocols like MQTT, MODBUS, and DLMS/COSEM for reliable data acquisition and transmission.

🔹 System Testing & Validation

• Conduct field and laboratory testing to ensure system performance under diverse environmental and electrical conditions.
• Identify and resolve communication, data accuracy, and system integrity issues.

🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with software engineers, data analysts, and utility clients to ensure timely project delivery and optimal system performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Embedded C, Python, electronic circuit design, and PCB layout design.
• Experience with IoT protocols including MODBUS, DLMS/COSEM (Gurux stack), MQTT, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Familiarity with energy metering systems, Data Concentrator Units (DCUs), and related technologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software integration issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Educational Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Electrical & Instrumentation, or a related field.
