Job Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Power BI Developer & Data Engineer with strong experience in
reporting data modeling for enterprise data environments. The ideal candidate will have practical
experience analyzing existing Power BI reports, extracting business logic and calculations, and
translating them into requirements.

This opportunity is well-suited for a data professional who understands reporting end-to-end, takes
ownership of data accuracy, and collaborates closely with engineering and business stakeholders.
Prior exposure to the U.S. mortgage domain is highly desirable, as it enables faster understanding of
business workflows and reporting requirements.

Shift Timing:
1:30 p.m. IST – 10:30 p.m. IST
(U.S. business hours overlap)

Responsibilities:
● Analyze existing Power BI reports and dashboards to extract business logic, calculations,
and data transformations.
● Translate reporting logic into clear functional and technical requirements for rebuilding
reports.
● Design and develop BI and semantic data models to enable consistent, reliable, and scalable
analytics across applications.
● Implement and manage open-source reporting and dashboarding tools such as
JasperReports, Grafana, and Metabase for operational and analytical insights.
● Define and enforce data security, role-based access control (RBAC), and data governance
across reporting and application layers.
● Architect and develop backend APIs, including robust API contracts, versioning strategies,
and performance optimization for data delivery.
● Apply advanced React expertise to build interactive, data-driven dashboards and reporting
interfaces with high usability and performance.
● Support Enterprise Data Warehouse maintenance and enhancements.
● Develop and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and scalability.
● Define data refresh strategies and ensure reporting data accuracy and consistency.
● Work with multiple data sources and support data ingestion and transformation workflows.
● Perform integration work across systems and analytics platforms.
● Troubleshoot data and reporting issues across environments.
● Collaborate directly with the U.S.-based technical and business teams to align on reporting
requirements and delivery.
● Continuously improve data models, reporting processes, and documentation standards.


Key Role:

● Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development and reporting.
● Advanced knowledge of DAX, measures, and Power Query (M language).
● Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
● Experience designing reporting data models (Star Schema / Fact-Dimension modeling)
● Experience working with enterprise data warehouses or reporting databases.
● Understanding of data refresh strategies, incremental loads, and reporting performance
optimization.
● Experience working with multiple data sources and data integration concepts.
● Ability to analyze existing reports and clearly document business logic and data flows.
● Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline workflows is a plus.
● Experience with the Azure data ecosystem (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse) is a plus.
● U.S. Mortgage domain experience is highly preferred.
● Strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
● Effective communication skills to collaborate with the U.S.-based stakeholders and teams.
