Job Overview

The Senior Clinical Associate Dermatologist is a junior-level full-time position, based in Mumbai at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre. The role offers a hybrid and remote working arrangement (Once a month short work assignments at Gir), enabling flexibility while delivering high-quality dermatological care and engaging with a exclusive patient population.


Qualifications and Skills

  • MD in Dermatology
  • Dermatoscopy proficiency for accurate skin lesion evaluation and mapping using specialized diagnostic tools (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong diagnostic skills for identifying a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions swiftly and accurately (Mandatory skill).
  • Excellent communication abilities to interact clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare teams (Mandatory skill).
  • Advanced manual dexterity essential for carrying out delicate dermatological procedures with precision and care.
  • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dermatology for accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment decisions.
  • Understanding of pathology for interpreting laboratory results and coordinating effectively with other specialists for complex cases.
  • Capabilities in performing cryotherapy, with experience in patient selection, procedure implementation, and aftercare.
  • Expertise in the use of dermoscopes, including proficiency in the interpretation of images and differentiation of benign and malignant lesions.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough dermatological evaluations and provide treatment plans for a wide spectrum of skin, hair, and nail disorders.
  • Utilize dermatoscopy and modern diagnostic tools to ensure accurate clinical assessments of dermatologic conditions.
  • Perform minor surgical and non-invasive dermatological procedures, including cryotherapy, under best practice guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnoses, procedures, treatment options, and follow-up plans in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the hospital to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting patient histories, diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay updated with recent advancements in dermatology and participate in learning opportunities and departmental meetings.
  • Adhere strictly to hospital protocols, safety standards, and ethical practices in every aspect of patient management.
