DescriptionJob Role:
This role is for Support Engineer for the Support Organization at Majesco and focuses on:
- Determining if the Customer reported Incidents are defects within specific timeframes
- Implementing change requests
- Resolving defects
It also involves product upgrades that include updates to business logic within both the database and Java.
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of Wildfly Application Server and ability to troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs of Wildfly
- Having experience in Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlet, Soap and Rest Web Services, API Tools like Postman
- Experienced in XML, XSL, HTML and good understanding HTTP Response Codes
- Experienced in developing SQL, PL/SQL stored Procedures, Packages and functions.
- Preferably experienced in developing APIs for Third Party Services, Understanding how to call Collection of Micro Services
- Participated in code reviews, unit test plan reviews, and other quality reviews. Identified and escalated issues that impacted testing progress.
- Should have ability to break down the complex requirements and provide estimates for defect fixes, change requests
Functional Skills:
- Functionality development / design implementation experience – Insurance functional domain experience is a big advantage
- Understanding the requirements and preparing technical function specification documents.
- Communicating with the client for gathering the requirements.

Analytical Skills:
- This is must. As most of our work is analysis based with data analysis and logical understanding of functional code
- Willingness to learn new tools / frameworks – Dev studio in our context
- Open mind to learn Majesco Products functionality
- Experience in managing customer and team.
- Good enough to discuss technical points with customer and able to guide them on the functionalities
- Good Communication skills
- Experience in managing conflicting delivery priorities
- Mentored junior programmers in Oracle database design and development
- Involved in code walk through and review sessions with the development team
