About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Automation Specialist to join our Finance team (Plan to Perform) to drive process automation and optimisation. This entry level role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about automation, process improvement, and digital transformation. You will work closely with senior finance team members, Engineers, business analysts, and functional teams to design, build, test, and support automation solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Development

• Assist in designing, building, and deploying automation scripts and workflows including AI enabled solutions.
• Develop automation solutions using tools such as Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Platform, other RPA tools.
• Maintain and update existing automation solutions based on business requirements.

Process Understanding & Analysis

• Collaborate with business teams to understand manual processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Document process flows, data inputs/outputs, and system interactions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Support end-to-end testing of automation workflows.
• Perform regression testing after system changes or updates.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs under the guidance of senior engineers.

Monitoring & Support

• Monitor daily automated jobs and report failures or anomalies.
• Provide Level 1 support for automation issues raised by users.

Documentation

• Prepare and update technical documentation, runbooks, and user guides.
• Document changes and maintain version control of automation artifacts.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Technical Skills

• Basic programming knowledge (Python, Java, C#, or similar).
• Familiarity with automation platforms such as Copilot, Copilot Studio,
Power Tools including Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar.
• Understanding of APIs, data formats (JSON, XML), and basic SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Snowflake
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies (preferred).
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience

Data Analyst Skills (Added as requested — no other changes made)

• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data cleansing).
• Ability to collect, clean, and prepare datasets for analysis.
• Basic SQL querying for data extraction and validation.
• Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools (preferred).
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate insights.
• Understanding of data quality, data governance, and validation techniques.

Analytical & Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to understand processes and translate them into workflows.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn from senior team members.
• Detail-oriented with a curiosity for automation and new technologies.
